Steps to make Tomato Rice:
  1. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds after it cracks add urad dhal and chanadhal fry till golden brown.
  2. Now add fennel seeds, curry leaves and green chillies.
  3. Then add onions saute till golden brown and add ginger garlic paste. Saute till raw smell disappears.
  4. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder.saute 3 minutes.
  5. Next add tomatoes and salt. Cook till mushy and oil separates from the sides.
  6. Add boiled rice and mix until well combined.
