The ingredients needed to make Dal & Methi Paratha:
Make ready 1 bowl wheat flour
Make ready 1 bowl leftover dal
Make ready 1 onion chopped
Prepare 1 bowl washed and chopped methi
Prepare 1 " piece grated ginger
Get 2 green chillies chopped
Make ready as per taste salt
Make ready 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
Take 1/4 tsp garam masala
Take as required Water
Take as required Cooking Oil for shallow fry
Take as requried Butter for serving
Steps to make Dal & Methi Paratha:
Add cooked dal, chopped, grated ginger and chilli in a mixing bowl.
Add wheat flour and fresh fenugreek leaves. Mix all ingredients well.
Knead a soft dough. Add a little water if required as dal already has water in it. I just added 2 tb sp water and kneaded the dough.
Divide the dough in 4 equal parts and shape as a ball. Roll like a chapati. Apply cooking oil on it. Fold it in triangle shape by giving 2 folds. Roll now.
Heat griddle and put paratha on it and roast on medium flame till golden from both sides.
Apply cooking oil on both sides and shallow fry till crispie golden brown colour.
Serve hot with butter or pickle.
