Muaan pitha is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It’s simple, it is quick, it tastes yummy. Muaan pitha is something which I’ve loved my entire life. They are nice and they look wonderful.
To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have muaan pitha using 10 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Muaan pitha:
Prepare 1 1/2 cup Rice
Make ready 1 Glass Urad Dal (without skin black gram lentil)
Get 1/2 glass water
Prepare 3 Green Cardamom (crushed)
Make ready 1 Teaspoon Cashew (crushed)
Take 1 Bay leaf (chopped)
Take 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
Get 1 Coconut (grated)
Take 150 gm jaggery (grated)
Take 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions to make Muaan pitha:
First wash rice and Urad Dal seperately and soak it with water for 7 to 8 hr's or keep it over night.
Then drain all water and grind it together not too polish. Rough grinding by adding little water to it. Now mix salt to the batter and Whip it by your hand for 2 mins and ferment it for 3 hr's.
The consistency should be thick.
Now turn on the gas place a kadhai add there jaggery, when it starts melting add grated coconut π₯₯, all in low flame. Cook it for 2 mins. Now add Cardamom, cashew, bay leaves, black pepper powder. Mix it well turn off the gas flame and cool it for 5 mins.
Now turn on the gas and place a wide mouth vessel add 4 glasses of water π¦ and tie a cloth to it and fix it well. Now steam it by covering it's lid.
Now when the steam appears. low the flame of the gas. Now pour there 3 ladle full of batter and then to it's top add filling (coconut and jaggery mix) then add coat the top with again 3 ladle full of batter. Now cover the lid and steam it on high flame for 20 mins.
Now after 20 mins. Turn off the gas and open the lid and cool that pitha for 5 mins. Then unmould it and cut it and serve.
