To get started with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have moong payasam using 5 ingredients and 2 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Moong Payasam:
  1. Take 1 cup moong dhal
  2. Take 1 bowl jaggery
  3. Get 1 cup coconut milk
  4. Take 1 tbsp ghee
  5. Take Nuts for garnishing
Steps to make Moong Payasam:
  1. First, Prepare jaggery syrup. In a pan add jaggery and 1/4th cup of water. Cook till the syrup is done. Pressure cook moong dhal for 5 to 6 whistles.
  2. Once pressure is out mash the moong dhal. Add jaggery syrup to it. Finally add coconut milk. Garnish with loads of nuts fried in ghee. Serve it hot or cold
