Instructions to make Zucchini chana dal:
Wash and soak chana dal for 10 min, wash, peel the Zucchini and cut in 1-inch pieces.
In a pressure cooker add oil and heat up then add whole spice when it starts crackle add chopped onion and fry till light golden brown then add ginger garlic paste sauté for 2 minutes now add chili, turmeric, black pepper, cumin powder and keep stir till oil separates.
Later add chana dal and salt mix it well, after 5 minutes add zucchini and stir well. add 2 cups of water and close the cooker lid completely.
Allow 3 whistles on a medium heat/flame and turn off the gas. add chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle a pinch of garam masala powder once the cooker cools down.
Delicious, healthy zucchini chana dal is ready to serve with hot roti, paratha, or steamed rice. I have served with paratha and drizzled one spoon of ghee on my bowl.
