  1. Take besan in a bowl and add all spices as mentioned. Now add buttermilk and mix well. Now add water and whisk well to make a batter. There should be no lumps.
  2. Now heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. When cumin seeds crackle add pitod batter to it. Stir continuously at low flame. Cook it until it becomes thick. It will take about 8 - 10 min.
  3. When it becomes thick take it out and spread on a greased plate. Let it cool for 10 min. Now cut pitod in any shape as per your choice. Sprinkle chopped coriander on it.
  4. Take curd in a bowl. Whisk it well. Now add salt, red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder to it. Add pitod pieces to it and mix very gently. Enjoy this tasty pitod raita with paratha.
