  17. Make ready 2 tbsp Coriander seeds -
  18. Make ready 1 tsp Cumin seeds -
  19. Take 1 tsp Fennel seeds -
  20. Get 1 tbsp Pepper corns -
  21. Take To Tamper
  22. Make ready 1 tsp Mustard seeds -
  23. Prepare 3 Dry red chillies -
  24. Get 2 Spring Curry leaves -
Steps to make Fried fish masala curry:
  1. Make a paste with the items under "To Marinate". Then apply the paste on both sides of the fish slices and marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Soak the tamarind in hot water for 10 minutes and extract the water.
  3. Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan. Shallow Fry the marinated fish pieces both sides and keep aside.
  4. Heat 2tbsp of oil in a kadai, add all the items under "Masala Paste". Saute and cook until onions and tomatoes are soft.
  5. Transfer the onions and tomatoes mixture to a mixer jar and grind them to a smooth paste by adding little water.
  6. Heat 1tbsp of oil in the same kadai, add the items under "To Tamper" and saute for a minute.
  7. Add in the grounded masala paste, tamarind water, 2tbsp red chilli powder, salt and enough water for the curry. Cover the kadai and let it boil.
  8. Once it states boiling, add in the fried fish pieces. mix gently, cover and cook for 10 minutes in low flame or till oil separates.
  9. Finally add some curry leaves.
  10. Fried Fish Masala Curry is ready to serve. Enjoy with Hot Rice.
