  1. Get 1/2 cup quick oats
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup green moong dhal
  3. Take Handful curry patta
  4. Get 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  5. Prepare 1/2 inch grated ginger
  6. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  7. Get to taste Salt
  8. Take 2 teaspoon ghee
  9. Take 1 green chilli
  10. Get 1 pinch hing
  11. Take 1 teaspoon tamarind pulp
  12. Make ready 4 cups water
  13. Get handful Coriander
Instructions to make Oats Pongal:
  1. Soak the green moong overnight and pressure cook for 4 whistles and salt and keep aside.
  2. Now take a pan add one teaspoon ghee jeera hing and cook well then add 4 cups of water and salt to taste and grated ginger at this stage make it come to a boil. Now add the oats and cook well. Once cooked add the cooked moong daal with pepper powder and make it come to a boil.
  3. Now add tamarind pulp and make close and simmer it for 2 mins.
  4. Garnish with coriander and before serving add ghee to it.
