The ingredients needed to make Lentil Dhal:
  1. Take 1 tsp tumeric
  2. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  3. Make ready 1 & ½ cup of red lentils
  4. Take 1/4 tsp panch phoron
  5. Prepare 3 garlic cloves Sliced
  6. Make ready 1 onion sliced
  7. Prepare 1 tomato chopped
  8. Prepare 4-5 curry leaves
Steps to make Lentil Dhal:
  1. Wash Lentils. In a medium sized pot boil Lentils, tumeric and salt.
  2. Blend with a stick blender till smooth and leave a side.
  3. Heat 2tsp of oil in a medium sized pot add the panch phoron and stir till fragrant.
  4. Add curry leaves,garlic, onion and tomatoes. (Stir in each ingredient 1 at a time 30 seconds apart)
  5. Add the lentils and simmer for 10-15 minutes
