Instructions to make Dal Makhni (without onion):
  1. Wash the dal and rajma and soak in a container of freshwater for 4-5 hours or overnight. Add soda to the water.
  2. Take a cooker. Drain off the water. Add the dal and rajma to the cooker. Add water,1 tbsp haldi, and 1 tbsp salt. Add 1/2 tsp soda. Keep it in gas. Take 5-6 whistles on medium flame.
  3. Take a Kadai. Add 2 tbsp oil. Add 1 tbsp jeera.
  4. Add capsicum paste and fry until brown. the add Tomato puree. Add a pinch of salt. cook until it leaves the oil. Add the dal Makhni masala and stir well.
  5. When the masala is mixed properly add masala to the cooker or daal to the Kadai. Add malai. Add some fresh cream. Add coriander leaves. Cook for 5-6 mins.
