The ingredients needed to make Dal makhani:
  1. Take 1/2 cup kidney beans soaked 4-5hrs
  2. Get 1/2 cup sabut urad or dalsok 4/5 hours
  3. Take 1 large onion
  4. Take 1 large tomato
  5. Make ready 2 tbs ginger garlic and green chilii paste
  6. Take 2 tbsp. cinnamon
  7. Take 1 red chilli, green chilli
  8. Take 1 tbsp coriander, red chilli powder, turmeric powder
  9. Get 2 tbsp. oil
  10. Prepare as per taste Salt
  11. Prepare 2 tbsp. cream
  12. Take 1/2 tbsp cumin seed
  13. Take 4 cups water
Steps to make Dal makhani:
  1. Gather ingredients and boil rajma and urad along with salt turmeric and red chilli powder, for 4-5whistles, allow to cool.
  2. Now, make a fine paste, of tomato and onion, heat a pan add oil, heat it, now add jeera, dal chini, crackle it, now add ginger garlic paste, roast them for few seconds, add red chilli, now add dry spices, cook it now add onion and tomato paste, cook till oil oozed out.
  3. Now add boil rajma and urad, cook it 2/3 mins, add salt, add and cream off the flame. And remove from heat, done, garnish with hot with roti or chaval
