The ingredients needed to make Urad dal Vada:
  1. Get 1 . Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  2. Make ready 2 . Onion - 1 finely chopped
  3. Take 3 . Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  4. Get 4 . Ginger - 1/2 tsp grated
  5. Prepare 5 . Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  6. Prepare 6 . Salt - as needed
  7. Make ready 7 . Curry leaves - 1 tbsp chopped
  8. Make ready 8 . Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp chopped
  9. Take 9 . Oil - for deep fry
Steps to make Urad dal Vada:
    1. Soak urad dal for 1 hour. Drain and grind it into smooth batter. Sprinkle water when you grind. don't pour water. May be you can sprinkle 1tbsp of water. Keep this in a bowl. - - 2. Now mix chopped onion, green chilli, cumin, ginger, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Add enough salt. Keep this aside.
    1. Heat oil in medium flame. Once it hot take a small portion of batter make a round shape and put small hole in the middle drop in the hot oil. Deep fry untill it cooked properly and it change to light golden colour. - - 4. Dry excessive oil in tissue paper and have with coconut chutney and sambar.
