To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have green daal using 7 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Green daal:
  1. Take 1 cup soaked mong daal(a protein source)
  2. Take 1 large medium onion choped
  3. Make ready 3 cups water
  4. Make ready Spices:salt,garlic,cumin seeds,zaatar,tumeric,chili flakes
  5. Make ready 4 tablespoon cooking oil
  6. Prepare 2 tablespoon butter
  7. Make ready Red onion and cream to garnish
Instructions to make Green daal:
  1. Soak in same amount of warm/ hot water about 4 to 5 hours u til almost all wate r absorbed and the daal is soft and can be.then add onions and fry until cooked then reduce heat add spice not to burnbroken by hand
  2. Then add the daal and stir can add butter at this point until bit dry then add the water and let cook until soft and not too dry..then serve with rice breads or as a soup. (Can also use the dried version to mix with other pulses and make healthy patties InshaAllah)
