The ingredients needed to make Hash Brown:
  1. Get potatoes
  2. Get rice flour
  3. Prepare salt
  4. Prepare roasted cumin powder
  5. Prepare fresh red / green chilies, chopped (opt)
  6. Take coriander leaves, chopped
  7. Make ready cream cheese / grated cheese as required
  8. Make ready some sev to garnish
  9. Take oil to shallow fry
Instructions to make Hash Brown:
  1. Prick the potatoes all over and pressure cook for one whistle. Set aside to cool. Peel off the skin and mash well.
  2. Mix with the salt, fresh chilies (opt), coriander leaves, rice flour and cumin powder. Shape in any form you desire and refrigerate for some time.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry on both sides till they turn brown in colour. Drain on a kitchen towel.
  4. Spread cream cheese and sprinkle some sev over it. Serve as an evening snack or as an appetizer with tomato ketchup / green chutney.
