Hey everyone, I hope you’re having an amazing day today. Today, we’re going to make a distinctive dish, chocolate cake. One of my favorites. For mine, I’m gonna make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Chocolate Cake is one of the most favored of current trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. Chocolate Cake is something which I’ve loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look fantastic.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook chocolate cake using 15 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Chocolate Cake:
  1. Get butter at room temp
  2. Get dark chocolate
  3. Get instant coffee dissolved in 350ml boiling water
  4. Make ready caster sugar
  5. Make ready eggs beaten
  6. Get vanilla bean paste
  7. Prepare cocoa powder
  8. Prepare plain flour
  9. Prepare baking powder
  10. Take salt
  11. Prepare Chocolate Buttercream
  12. Get dark chocolate
  13. Make ready butter (room temp)
  14. Make ready icing sugar
  15. Make ready vanilla essence
Steps to make Chocolate Cake:
  1. Heat oven to 150c and grease 2 x 23cm cake tins
  2. In a large bowl break the chocolate into chunks and cut the butter into 2cm cubes. Pour over the hot coffee and stir until melted
  3. Add the sugar and whisk until dissolved.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until thoroughly combined.
  5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt and whisk until combined.
  6. Pour the cake batter into the cake tins. Bake in oven for 35 minutes (check cooked by inserting a skewer and it comes out clean)
  7. To make the buttercream- melt the chocolate over some boiling water. Leave to cool to room temp. Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add the vanilla and chocolate and beat until well combined.
  8. Once the sponges have reached room temperature (atleast 1 hour) spread 1 third of the buttercream over one sponge, sandwich with the second sponge and cover with the remaining buttercream. 😋
