  7. Add 1 cup of icing sugar at a time to the mixture with a tablespoon of milk. Put the mixer on a high speed after each addition. Repeat until all is added.
  8. Add the vanilla extract and coffee (optional) and combine well.
  9. Add more milk if the mixture is too dry or add more icing sugar if the mixture is too wet.
